The NiSi 82mm SMC L395 UV Filter is a clear, all-purpose filter designed to block ultraviolet (UV) light and reduce the blue haze often present in daylight photography. It produces no additional color or contrast effects, only the removal of unwanted blue casts, so there's no need to adjust your exposure settings.
Engineered to absorb 28% of UV light at 395 nanometers, this filter gradually eliminates UV wavelengths below that point, allowing only visible light to reach your camera. the result: sharper images with true-to-life colors, even in bright, outdoor conditions.
Constructed from high-grade Asahi optical glass, the NiSi SMC L395 UV Filter delivers excellent clarity and maintains around 98.5% visible light transmission. Its 3.0mm aluminum-alloy frame is both durable and lightweight, reducing the risk of vignetting, especially important when shooting with wide-angle lenses. The 82mm front threads allow you to stack additional filters or use your standard lens caps without hassle.
For added performance, both sides of the glass are treated with an anti-reflective, hydrophobic coating. This minimizes internal reflections and ghosting, while also repelling water for easier cleaning and maintenance.
