The NiSi 62mm SMC L395 UV Filter is a general-purpose, high-transparency filter designed to block ultraviolet (UV) light and reduce the bluish cast often seen in daylight photography. It absorbs up to 28% of UV light at 395 nanometers, gradually eliminating it before it can affect image quality. This filter ensures accurate color reproduction by allowing only visible light through, with no need to adjust exposure settings, as it introduces no additional tint or contrast beyond neutralizing unwanted blue tones.
Crafted from high-quality Asahi glass, the NiSi SMC L395 UV filter delivers excellent clarity and maintains true-to-life colors, with a visible light transmission rate of approximately 98.5%. Its slim, 3.0mm aluminium-alloy frame is lightweight yet durable, helping to prevent vignetting and allowing compatibility with additional 62mm screw-on filters. Both sides of the glass are treated with a hydrophobic, anti-reflective coating to minimize reflections and ghosting while making the filter easier to clean thanks to its water-repellent surface.
